handle sizes

We offer a large variety of different sizes of handles for all applications. If you are replacing handles the important size to check is the hole centres. This is the distance between the centres of the two fixing screws. The easy way to measure this is to open the door and measure with a tape or ruler from the top of one fixing screw to the top of the other. These sizes are usually in 32mm increments i.e. 96mm, 128mm, 160mm etc.

Bar handles do not follow this convention with the exception of a multi purpose size 128mm handle, but are sized to match standard door heights and widths. We offer these in lengths up to 1185mm which fits as a full length handle on a 1245mm high kitchen door.
finishes

Our high quality handles and knobs are available in a variety of finishes. Descriptions throughout our site like stainless steel, pewter etc refer to the finish and not the actual material unless stated otherwise e.g. solid timber or solid pewter.

Chrome - Polished high gloss finish

Stainless steel - Not as shiny as chrome with a slight brushed effect to complement stainless steel appliances

Satin Nickel - A duller finish than stainless steel but still has a slight sheen

Antiqued Nickel - A darker, aged effect

Aluminium - Dull matt finish

Solid Pewter - A very natural silver appearance which improves with age

Cast Iron - Natural silvery grey or black

Polished Brass - Highly polished

Antiqued Brass - Dull & darker with an aged effect
fixings

All handles and knobs are supplied with machine screws to suit most standard thickness doors although with some door & handle combinations these may require cutting. This is easily done with a junior hacksaw. Alternatively we can supply shorter or longer screws (only available in bulk quantities) as required.
